Do shutters come with a guarantee?
Yes. All of our shutters come with a minimum 5-year guarantee, 10 years for our PVC ranges, plus a lifetime fitting guarantee for complete peace of mind.
Are plantation shutters blackout?
On their own, plantation shutters significantly reduce light but are not 100% blackout. For total darkness, we offer our Blindscreen Blackout add-on, which achieves full blackout when combined with your shutters.
Are plantation shutters energy efficient?
Absolutely. According to the British Blind & Shutter Association (BBSA), internal plantation shutters can reduce heat loss by up to 28%. With our Blindscreen Blackout add-on, this increases to up to 40%.
Are plantation shutters easy to clean?
Yes. Shutters are simple to maintain—just use a clean microfibre cloth or a vacuum with a brush attachment. For PVC shutters, a damp cloth can be used to remove tougher marks or stains.
How long does it take to get plantation shutters installed?
Lead times vary depending on the material. PVC shutters can be ready in as little as 4 weeks from placing your order, while wood shutters typically take 12–14 weeks.
